Why do employees quit?

Employees quit their job for many reasons. But, most of the reasons why employees quit their job are under the control of the employer. In fact, any element of your current workplace, your culture and environment, the employee’s perception of his job and opportunities are all factors that the employer affects.
Workforces don’t need to be friends with their boss but they need to have a relationship. The boss is too much of an integral part of their daily lives at work for an uncomfortable relationship. The boss provides direction and feedback, spends time in one-to-one meetings, and connects the employee to the larger organization. To have a toxic relationship with the person an employee reports to undermines the employee’s engagement, confidence, and commitment.
Well, a bad manager is not the only reason; there can be various reasons like:
Bored and unchallenged by the work itself
Relationships with coworkers
Opportunities to use skills and abilities
Contribution of work to the organization’s business goals
Cultural mismatch
An employee that is a mismatch in the team results in disappointment, conflicts and affects the work.  Diverse teams can have creative and innovative culture. But it is important to consciously take care of the above points. It is essential that employee’s viewpoints contribute towards attaining the common goals and objectives of the team and the organization.
All these issues can be addressed during the initial phase when the employee is getting-engaged to the organization – i.e. the hiring process.
Humantelligence uses analytics to predict the likelihood of a good working relationship. The candidates can have self-assessment to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
