Detect Lie in A Resume

Recruiting is not an easy task at all. Being a recruiter is so tough, as one needs to handle a hundred things at once. There are times that the recruiters miss out on the best talent, and there are times when they do not figure out the people who are not worth it at all.
The candidates nowadays have become so clever, that they think that if they fake their resume, no one would figure anything out and they would get the job easily. But what they don’t know is that the times are changing. There are many ways by which a recruiter can detect lie in a resume, and a few of them are mentioned below:
Having a one-on-one interview with the candidate makes the recruiter understand the candidate better. The hand gestures, way of talking, and confidence tells everything about the individual. Not just this, but if the candidate has mentioned something suspicious in the resume, it is very easy to catch their lie ref-handed, when there is a face to face interview.

Ask them to take up a self-assessment

The self-assessment tells a lot about the candidate’s personality. It shows what the individual is capable of, and what are the qualities that they have in them. If something totally opposite is mentioned in the resume, then it proves that the candidate has lied about oneself in it.

Urealistic descriptions

Giving unrealistic descriptions about oneself is something that makes it suspicious for the recruiter, and makes them not believe the candidate. If someone is being genuine about their resume, they would mention something that makes total sense.

Missing Dates

If the candidate says that there have been some important happening related to their experiences, their dates must always be mentioned. If they are found to be missing, then it is confirmed that the candidate has been lying.
